Art by Local Artists

The home features art by Arizona and California artists.

We have pieces by local Southern California artist, Jerome Stumphauzer (https://jerome-stumphauzer.pixels.com/).  In the home you will see his Joshua Tree Nightfall, Sedona Arizona and Arizona Desert pieces. The Arizona Desert canvas was commissioned by Paramount Studios to use in the hit Netflix series “GRACE & FRANKIE!”  The landscape is based on his visit to Saguaro National Park in Arizona.

We have contemporary, fanciful art by Arizona artist Kathy Q Parks (https://www.kathyqparksart.com/shop-art).  In the home you will see her Samie (Goat), Lola (Javelina) and The Guest (Rabbit).  Her paintings are contemporary, saturated with color, layered with multiple marks, tangled with movement, and intricately textured. If you look closely, you can see organic and abstracted natural forms.

We have an interesting piece by Marina Del Rey artist, Diana Feld.  This piece was purchased at a frame shop without any background or history.  We’ve titled it My Genie, and invite you to make lots of wishes as you sit and relax in the sitting area.

  1. Is the property fully furnished?
    Yes, there are 2 bedrooms furnished with queen beds, 1 bedroom furnished with twin beds, 1 bedroom furnished as a WFH office and has a sofa bed, patios have outdoor furniture, the exercise room has a treadmill, stationary bicycle and yoga mat.
  1. Are utilities (electricity, water, gas) included in the rental price?
    Yes, utilities are included; however, there is a reasonable cap in place. Should the utility usage exceed this limit, the guest will be responsible for the additional charges incurred.
  1. Is Wi-Fi/internet access provided?
    Yes, internet access is provided by Spectrum.  The home also has an Eero Mesh network.  Login details are provided in the Home Guide.
  1. Are bed linens, towels, and other essential toiletries provided?
    Yes, linens and a reasonable amount of essential household supplies are provided.  We also use waterproof, bed bug and dust mite encasements, mattress pads, and pillow protectors.
  1. Is there a cleaning service included during the stay? If not, is it available for an additional fee?
    A monthly cleaning service is included in the stay.  Guests are free to schedule additional cleaning services at their own expense.
  1. Is there a minimum stay requirement?
    Yes, the minimum stay requirement is 30 days.
  1. Is a security deposit required? If so, how much is it and when is it refunded?
    Yes, a security deposit equal to 1.5 times the monthly rental amount is a requirement for securing the rental property.
  1. What is the cancellation policy?
  • Full Refund: Cancellations made within 30 days before the check-in date will receive a full refund of the rental fee.
  • Partial Refund: Cancellations made within 14 days before the check-in date may result in a partial refund, where a percentage of the rental fee is retained as a cancellation fee.
  • No Refund: Cancellations made less than 7 days before the check-in date may not be eligible for a refund, and the full rental fee may be non-refundable.
  1. Are pets allowed? If so, are there any restrictions or additional fees?
    In consideration of guests with allergies and to maintain a clean and serene atmosphere, we have a policy of not allowing pets on the premises.

    Yes, there is off street parking in the garage and driveway.

    Yes, the home has central heating and air conditioning easily controlled by guests.
  1. Are there laundry facilities available?
    Yes, there is a washing machine, clothes dryer, iron, and ironing board.
  1. Are there any specific rules or restrictions on noise levels or parties/events?
    Westchester is a peaceful and mostly quiet neighborhood.  Some neighbors will contact the owner should there be any disturbances and other neighbors will call the police.
  1. What are the nearest public transportation options?
    There are bus stops along Manchester for LA Metro and Santa Monica’s Big Blue bus.
  1. Are there any special instructions for using specific appliances or equipment on the property?
    Guests will receive a code for the home security alarm and keyless entry.  Information on these systems is included in the Home Guide.
